Sugar Cookies

I n g r e d i e n t s :

  • 2 ¾ cup all-purpose flour

  • 1 tsp baking soda

  • ½ tsp baking powder

  • 1 ½ cup sugar

  • 1 cup soft butter

  • 1 egg

  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

 

Steps: 

  1. Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F.

  2. In a small bowl, sift flour, baking powder, and baking soda together. Set aside.

  3. In a large bowl, use a stand-up mixer to cream butter and sugar until smooth, this usually takes about two minutes on a medium speed.

  4. Beat in your egg and your vanilla until creamy.

  5. On the lowest setting, add in your dry ingredients slowly. Add â…“ to start, wait until it’s fully combined, then â…”, and do this until all the dry ingredients are incorporated. 

  6. On a greased baking sheet, roll small balls of dough and gently press your finger on the top to flatten slightly. Make sure there is plenty of space in between each (no more than 12 per sheet).

  7. Bake for 8-10 minutes, or until lightly browned on top.

  8. Enjoy!
